The Covid-19 Experience

The staff of the Ritchies Primary School was faced with a unique challenge and, as usual, rose to the occasion.  As a staff, we designed an outreach programme to ensure that no student was left behind.  
Teachers on a daily basis were engaged in online teaching and learning activities, inclusive of whole class Zoom and Google Classroom lessons and one-on-one sessions with students.
For the students without internet access, staff members would make direct phone calls and send text messages to maintain an open line of communication with the children in their care.
On Fridays, staff members would , in groups, visit various communities to deliver and collect worksheets to EVERY STUDENT.
We must once again applaud these teachers inclusive of our Cluster Based Guidance Counselor for a job well executed.
